Gudeg was made from young jackfruit, with 'santan'(milk squeezed from coconut) and with addition a traditional flavor that called "Kluwek" or Keluak (the fruit of the kepayang tree used as a spice). Gudeg has a special color, brown color, it's camed from "Jati" (hardwood tree) leaf . Jati leaf is included a flavor of gudeg.
Usually we eat gudeg with rice, and santan "areh" sauce, with egg. tofu and "sambal goreng krecek". If u came to jogja, u must try this food..very delicious and interisting.
